Who are we?

Berkhamsted Bowmen is the oldest club in Hertfordshire preceding the formation of the County Association. It was founded in 1950, and is affiliated to the Hertfordshire Archery Association (HAA), Southern Counties Archery Society (SCAS) and the Grand National Archery Society (GNAS).

During the summer season, Berkhamsted Bowmen shoot on Sunday as well as some weekday evenings. The Summer Shooting Programme covers all Imperial and FITA rounds.

Bow disciplines include Longbow, Recurve and Compound. Regrettably Crossbows are not allowed within the club.

Who can shoot?

Any current GNAS member is welcome to shoot as a Guest for a nominal visitors fee. Anyone who is interested in our Beginners Course or becoming an Associate Member should contact the Club Secretary for more information.
